hope series body of work (This series of mixed media collages began in 2005 during a residency for displaced gulf coast artists at the Santa Fe Arts Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Unlike my three-dimensional endeavors, my process for making collages is far more spontaneous and often spans lengthy periods of time. I combine appropriated imagery (collected bits and digital downloads made into acrylic transfers) with fabric and acrylic paint.
